Bio

Natasha Ulyanov has rekindled her dedication to the art of painting—a pursuit that has held her deepest passion since her formative years.

Natasha's artistic education has been diligently cultivated through the study of classical techniques at prestigious institutions such as the Silvermine Art School in New Canaan, CT, the New York Art Student League and New York University. Her academic pursuits culminated in a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in 2004, followed by the acquisition of a Masters in Art and Business from the esteemed Sotheby’s Institute in 2011.

Her professional experience in the realm of fashion has significantly informed her current artistic practice. During her tenure as a Freelance Production Manager at AO Productions, Natasha orchestrated front-of-house and back-of-house logistics for international designers, including Carolina Herrera, Badgley Mischka, and Reem Acra, among others. Transitioning from production to design, she interned at Magaschoni, subsequently ascending to the role of designer at Guy Laroche USA. This trajectory ultimately led her to establish her eponymous brand, Natasha Ulyanov LLC, where she specialized in evening design—a venture that catalyzed her exploration of the human form and the refinement of her artistic skills, thereby establishing a robust aesthetic foundation.

Natasha's professional engagement at Christie's and Gene Shapiro Auction, involving the appraisal, cataloging, and research of artworks, has left an indelible imprint on her artistic expression. Exposure to established artists fueled her desire to spotlight emerging talents yet to be discovered. This manifested in the inception of BB Contemporary, where Natasha, alongside her partner, embarked on the curation of exhibitions spanning New York City and Mexico City.

Natasha was born in England, she lived in Russia as a young child and grew up in New Canaan, CT. After moving to New York City for her career, she returned to CT to raise her family and currently lives in Stamford, CT with her husband, three children and French bulldog. Natasha’s children attend school in Greenwich.
